💛SASHA’S STORYTroy and I felt we were ready to adopt our first dog together, and I had always loved Dobermans ever since a wonderful interaction with two as a child.We visited a Doberman rescue, and they had us sit in a room while bringing dogs in one at a time to meet us. After meeting four sweet, well-behaved dogs, they let in Sasha—who came bounding across the room and jumped right on us.In that moment, we knew this crazy girl was the one for us. She was around one year old when we adopted her, and we were lucky to have ten incredible years with her.💛REMY’S STORYYears ago, after some time without a dog, we felt ready to welcome a new furry companion. Visits to shelters and rescues introduced us to many wonderful dogs, but none quite felt like the one. That changed when a neighbor sent us a picture of Remington—a water-loving pup the shelter had nicknamed Hydro.One look at his photo, and I knew he was meant to be ours. Troy said, “Well, if we are really getting another dog... this is the one.” The next morning, we were the first in line at the shelter. Despite his “huge dog that jumps and barks” reputation, Remy stole our hearts. He became the foundation of Remy’s Kitchen and the start of something truly special.💛WINCHESTER’S STORYWhen we suddenly lost Remy, our hearts were shattered. I couldn’t imagine life without a dog by my side, even in my grief. Then Winchester—just six months old and already on his third home—caught my eye on a rescue site. I couldn’t stop thinking about him.Troy reminded me that there was still room in my heart to give love. Though I wasn’t sure I was ready, I knew we had to meet him. When we finally did, tears fell instantly—it was love at first sight. Winchester came home with us that day. Today, he’s not just part of our family but the new face of Remy’s Kitchen.
